January Challenge – Justin Chin

Congrats to Justin Chin, the first taker who had the sack (aka Bulgarian Bag) to crush the January Challenge!  Squats 8 x 325, right into the spin test w/26lb, for final completion time of 3:50.

There are only 2 days left to step up for the January Challenge.  The whole purpose of January’s challenge was to test a combination of muscle strength, aerobic capacity, and muscle endurance.  All are part of being Bag Fit.  From the lack of takers, it appears that most people lack the capacity to have this well-balanced combination of the components that make up being Bag Fit.

One of the reasons we chose to include heavy squats is because this movement is really the king of compound movements, incorporating all major muscle groups.  For all those skinny-legged lads in the gym, this is what you’re missing, and you’ll never be ashamed to wear shorts again.

We realize this was a very physically demanding test that requires a strong resistive training background.  Every month will feature a new challenge, different from the last, but all will encompass a combination of Bag Fit components:

  • Muscular Strength
  • Muscular Endurance
  • Speed/Power
  • Agility and Balance
  • Mobility and Flexibility
